October 12-14, 2026

Spend time immersed in the abundance of a working flower farm. Wander the fields together with Jenny and Christina, who will reveal how to observe Nature’s mechanics in situ and learn the art of thoughtful gathering that leads to exceptional design. This in-depth floral exploration will reframe your perspective to see bouquets as sculptural forms. Throughout the workshop there will be constant focus on techniques and mechanical applications for each composition. You’ll come away with the tools to make artistic statements in your centerpieces and table accents, and how ambiance becomes the muse.
This is also a fantastic opportunity to build a professional quality portfolio to showcase the beautiful, mystical autumn transformation.

Your Backdrop
Nestled among the vineyards of Suisun Valley lies a small flower farm that offers seasonal fresh cut products throughout the year. During the month of October the fields are transitioning from flowers to berries and the olive trees are heavy with fruit. Meanwhile the chrysanthemum patch is illuminated by saturated fall colors. Part of the immersion experience is to slow down and find the rhythm of the season, so be prepared to relax in the adirondack chairs and enjoy the scenery between floral projects.

I am very excited to be leading this workshop under the trees and in the farm at HVH Speciality Growers and alongside my dear friend Christina Ignatius. Together we will be bringing the very best of the season to you while taking you on a journey. This is a creative retreat where you will learn aspects of floral design from a European style perspective and allow yourself the time to settle down so you can create unapologetically. We are very excited and look forward to sharing even more about this exciting event. – Jenny
